Residency Day 1--Annihilated

Annihilated is defined in Webster's dictionary as "to cause to cease to exist; especially: KILL." Yep, that would basically sum it up for Cam's first day of residency. He left our house at 4:30am and didn't return until 7:30pm. All he had to say was "Em, my pager went off about 80 times today and the chief resident said it was a light day. I basically got annihilated!" Also, check out his hot white pants that all ortho residents have to wear for the whole year. Wearing white pants and a short white coat is a long time Duke tradition. Currently, the Duke ortho residents are the only program still keeping the tradition alive.

On a lighter note, Conley is happy that Aunt Lindsey is in town. Pictures to come....

Lastly, my doctor's appointment was a success today! Dr. Smith is pretty cool and seemed to be up to the challenge of taking this hot mess on. Like all doctors, he doesn't have a cure for me or even really know how I got this crazy disease. I dropped some labs and should be getting results in the next couple of days. He would like to review my medical records before making any changes to my medications. Also, he stressed to me that he doesn't recommend me having anymore babies. So, let the journey began of looking into alternative options.

  2. Lindsey...
Congrats Ms White! Are ya shopping for new teaching clothes? They are soooo blessed to have you teaching for their district. USD 266 messed up!!!!
My laptop's been in for summer maintenance the past two weeks, so I'm so far behind catching up. Tell Cam his white pants look like he's auditioning for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest!!! LOL! Conley's gorgeous and Em...please, please keep us posted on the lab results. Tomorrow's July 4 and as much as we miss you anyway, it's especially hard on special occasions. Tell Cam Mom's making Pat Macca's special apple pies!!! Decadent!!! Do they shoot firecrackers in your neighborhood? Are Conely and Murph handling that okay?
Luv you all! Mo and Mom
